Taking The Long Way Home

Encaustic ( beeswax and oils) on panel

This encaustic painting was commissioned by a client for a new home in Victoria. Sharon Bryan and Rob Sharman have been enjoying finding many paintings and artwork for their new home on the waterfront. They are both very busy people but were such fun to work with. Each having a "good eye", they had very good ideas. We based the painting that I eventually painted for them on several other paintings I had done of Island Gardens. They had a specific size in mind and I had a 40" x 48" panel built to be an exact fit. They went on to take another small triptych " High Plains Honey", with them to try and found a great place for it too. I'm looking forward to a photo of the paintings in place.
