Sold Work
Encaustic on panel

This painting was commissioned for Fiona Taylor and her family. After discussing how the commission process worked, I visited their home to see where the painting might fit, where the light would come from and any other details that Fiona wanted considered. I then produced two gouache drawings with my ideas for their consideration. The whole family had a chance to comment and make suggestions. When we finally had a clear picture of the placement, the size and what the strong elements of the work would be, I painted "Delta Honey" The perspective of the painting is a view of the Fraser River Delta looking north from west Ladner towards the Coastal Range. On this shoreline, wild roses are thick along the waters edge.
